Handwoven Eri Silk in the regal coulours of Blue and white.Assam is home to a rich tradition of handwoven textiles and Eri or Ahimsa silk which is one of the most unique and sustainable fabrics produced in Assam, made from the cocoons of the Eri silkworm (Samia ricini). Unlike conventional silk, Eri silk is produced using a non-violent method that involves harvesting the cocoon after the silkworm has emerged, making it a cruelty-free or “Ahimsa” alternative to regular silk.
